Statement to Client
Life can be messy, unpredictable, wonderful, and fragile. It can also be overwhelming, so I value opportunities to slow down and listen to our bodies, emotions, and needs. Therapy is a space where you can do that – and not do it alone. I primarily work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity issues, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach has evolved to be influenced by relational, emotion-focused, and attachment-based therapy, while remaining trauma-informed.
As an Asian/Filipina therapist, I recognize the impact of intersecting identities and cultural biases on navigating the complexities of life and mental health. I work with individuals with various backgrounds and identities, including but not limited to those who are in the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
Through this work, we can recognize how relationships, family system, personal identities, and lived experiences have impacted and continue to impact your sense of self, worldviews, behaviors, decisions, and patterns. I offer to work alongside you as you connect with safety, engage with emotions, explore defenses, build authenticity, and cultivate hope – all the while we both affirm your inner strength, gentleness, and worth.
