Statement to Client
Everyone"s journey in life is different, although one person may have experienced the same situation as another, that experience is unique to every person that encounters it. There are often many challenges in life, some of which were things just handed to you, as if there wasn"t enough on your plate already. The everyday tasks that encompass a life can become overwhelming, and draining; in therapy there is the opportunity to navigate the challenges and obstacles that life may face you with. My goal is to assist in your navigation of the life journey, during whatever your personal experiences may bring.
I work with culturally diverse populations, and a variety of life experiences. "People are doing the best they can" a DBT assumption that fueled my passion for choosing this approach. I utilize CBT and Person Centered approaches as well. I have also completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy with OCD, and have experience with Autism and ADHD.
