Statement to Client
Hey there, thanks for taking the time to read my client statement. I would call myself an "odd duck", never quite having fit in despite trying my best. I tend to enjoy clients who also feel like they are on the outside looking in, or who have felt like something is "off" but could never really explain what.
I love ducks, nature, and serving my community. While not seeing clients, you can find me in the community garden in the summer or hiking in the winter. If you can't beat the seasonal depression in Michigan, you may as well fully embrace the cold and darkness.
My belief is that you are a competent and capable individual who will find their own path to walk. I provide a space of empathy, validation, and unconditional positive regard that is hopefully judgment free. I do not offer advice, but may provide education on anxiety, depression, trauma, your nervous system, and mindfulness skills.
I am autistic and social skills do not come naturally to me. This may mean I may seem a little "off" to you. I know I'm not the therapist for everyone, but if you vibe with my statement so far, I might be the therapist for you.
